The trip of 7 Days Annapurna Base Camp Trek is slightly different than the regular ABC Trek itinerary. Normally trekkers take the route of Ghorepani Poon Hill in order to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. However, in this trekking itinerary, Poon Hill is excluded. The walking starts at Siwai. Trekkers will take the private vehicle from Pokhara to Siwai and they head to Jhinu as first day’s rest.

Day 01: Drive to Siwai (2-3 hrs) and trek to Jhinu 1,780 m, 5 hrs.
Day 02: Trek to Bamboo 2,310 m, 6 hrs.
Day 03: Trek to Deurali 3,280 m. 6 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m, 6 hrs.
Day 05: Trek back to Dovan 2,600 m, 7 hrs.

Day 01: Drive to Siwai and trek to Jhinu 1,780 m - 06 hrs.
Trek begin with 3 hrs drive along the snake line road to Siwai via Nayapul and Birethati villages, located near the river Modi where our first day starts past several farm villages with scenic waterfalls then cross short bridge over Kimrong Khola and ascend on stone staircase to Jhinu Danda village , a small village located on top of hill overlooking grand views of surrounding landscapes with snow-capped peaks. Here, enjoy the natural hot spring which is 20 minutes downhill on the bank 0f river Modi.
Day 02: Trek to Bamboo 2,310 m - 06 hrs.
After a refreshing overnight at Jhinu morning climb leads through terraced farm areas, an hour and a half uphill walk bring you at Chhomrong. This is a large and last permanent Gurung village before Annapurna base camp other places on route beyond Chhomrong are the temporary settlement to cater the need of trekkers with the lodge and guest houses all the way to Annapurna base camp.
After Chhomrong walks downhill to a river, then crossing a short bridge heading up to reach Sinuwa at 2,330 m high, a lonely spot with few shops and nice lodges. Walk from here leads into the cool forested area of oaks-rhododendron and pines trees and then a short steep descends to the overnight stop at Bamboo, a small settlement with 5-6 lodges surrounded by bamboo trees, on Modi River gorge.
Day 03: Trek to Deurali 3,280 m - 06 hrs.
After a nice overnight stop at Bamboo with the sound of raging Modi River, morning walk leads higher through thickly forested area reaching Dovan 2600m and Himalaya Hotel 2920m located beneath Huichuli peak and large overhanging Hinko Cave. The trail continues steeply up to the Hinko Cave after short descend and then crossing ablation of old avalanches of the rocky moraine, then a short climb brings at Deurali 3,280 m, a small mountain place with four tea houses.
Day 04: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m - 06 hrs.
After leaving the gorge area to more wide open area, from Deurali heading higher leaving the tree lines behind following the raging glacial Modi River all the way to Machhapuchhre base camp at 3,700 m high for lunch stop, located beneath towering North Face of the Fish Tail Mountain.
Finally, our walk leads into famous and picturesque Annapurna Sanctuary where Annapurna Base Camp located. MBC the starting point of the sanctuary, as the walk leads higher ground for few hours and then entering the sanctuary with an amphitheater of peaks that surrounds this amazing place. After a few hours of pleasant walk brings you to the highest spot of this adventure at Annapurna base camp with 4,130 meters elevation.
Afternoon enjoys and relaxes overlooking Annapurna I (8,091m / 26,545ft) Annapurna South (7,219m-23,693ft), Gangapurna (7,455m-24,457ft) and Annapurna III (7,555m-24,787ft), including to Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) at 6,790 m stretches up towards Tent Peak / Tharpu Chuli and Fluted Peaks or Singu Chuli.
Day 05: Trek back to Dovan 2,600 m - 07 hrs.
After a most memorable and enjoyable time at base camp within Annapurna Sanctuary retrace the journey back walking downhill back into tree lines reach at Dovan for an overnight stop.
Day 06: Trek to Chhomrong 2,170 m - 05 hrs.
From Dovan walk leads to a short descend reaching at Bamboo and then a short steep climb to a ridge filled with thick alpine forest, walk is gentle on winding trail to Sinuwa with long descend to Chhomrong Khola bridge where a last and final climb of the day brings you at large Gurung village in Chhomrong for overnight stop.
Day 07: Trek to Siwai 1,250 m - 05 hrs and drive to Pokhara - 03 hrs.
From Chhomrong downhill walk brings at scenic and lovely Jhinu village located on a ridge top with views of surrounding landscapes and rolling green hills.
After Jhinu Danda short descend on stone steps reaching at another Nayapul (New Bridge), from here back to a small village at Siwai for the drive back to Pokhara after completing a wonderful and fabulous time up in the high mountains.

The requirement for Annapurna area high altitude Treks:
Annapurna region of Nepal is diversified and the most attractive trekking destination. The maximum altitude of the trekking routes of Annapurna region is at Thorong La Pass of Annapurna Circuit Trek only. Other trekking routes of Annapurna region are Annapurna Base Camp (highest altitude - 4130 m), Poon Hill (3210 m), Mardi Himal (highest altitude - 4500 m) and others are below four thousands meters height.
Anyone with physical fitness can do the treks in Annapurna Region smoothly. Annapurna Himalaya region is one of the most popular and listed as world Top Ten adventure destinations by several leading Travel Guide Books and magazines including Lonely Planet. Annapurna region offers varied trekking routes from moderate, adventurous to challenging walks that involve high passes above 5,000 meters. For moderate treks for a few days to a week where all trekkers should be physically fit and in sound health, as most of the longer treks takes from 5 hrs to 8 hrs of maximum walks.

Nepal visa is the easiest visa to obtain; you may buy your Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese Embassy/ Consulate or Mission offices abroad or buy this upon on arrival to Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. You have to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US$ & valid passport at least for 6 months valid at the starting of the trip.Visa rules applies to all wide world travelers apart from Indian nationality, transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over the initial period of three days. Currently, foreign national can obtain Nepalese visa from the following border.

There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at altitude with acclimatization days. Being in very good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the exhaustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude caused medical problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness.
Our itinerary designed with high degree of awareness on AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas. Staying well and hydrated and rest will help a lot.
The maximum elevation on trek at ABC 4,130m above sea level. Obviously this altitude range is high, but this takes slowly as walk starts from 820m to various altitude range with enough days of good daily walks to get acclimatize on route before reaching higher ground.
The other trek that involves high altitude is around or Annapurna Circuit which takes you to the highest point at 5,416 on top Thorong-la pass with downhill towards 3,800 m at Muktinath, but on this trips walks gaining heights slowly and gradually with enough time to get acclimatize with rest day before heading higher level.
Travel Insurance & Vaccination:
All visitors must obtain personal travel insurance to join us for our Himalayan trips. You must be having a travel insurance which must cover helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation and medical expenses. And it is suggested that you buy your insurance policy from you homeland country before traveling as it is difficult buying local travel insurance policy for foreigners in Nepal.
Vaccination is required to plan to your trip to Nepal but it is not a must to have thing to come, but highly suggested. Your doctor will have the information of vaccination you would require to the country you will be traveling.
Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for traveling to Nepal.
Meals and Accommodations:
While in Kathmandu and in Pokhara, your accommodation is at 3 star deluxe hotel that comfort your stays in city and while in trek, your accommodation is at Mt. Lodge and Guest House which is clean and comfortable. Our entire accommodation is at twin share unless stated but single supplement accommodation is also available on personal request at the additional cost of US$- 200.
In city, only breakfast is included on the offered trip itinerary but while in trek full board of meals is included (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea- Coffee).
We provide meals from local tea- house/ Lodge on route treks, breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea- house/ guest house we would overnight but lunch would be on walk to our designated destination with overnight stop.
Foods provided depend on the availability of lodges and season wise in general providing you with Nepalese foods (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various soups, Momo’s (steamed dumplings), potatoes, pasta and even a version of pizza! So, overall you have a different choice of food on trek.
Best trekking Seasons:
Nepal has two best seasons for Annapurna Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit Trekking, we will inform and suggest you to choose the right time of the year as far as possible to enjoy this trip with the best weather condition.
Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, warmest weather of the year.
Autumn: (Mid-September, October and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. Best Time to Trek
Winter Months: - (December, January and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.
Summer: Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid-June, July and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek unless you are botanical student or lovers of green and flowers which will be the right time but very wet specially around southern Annapurna areas than northern side.
Support staff (porter):
Our porter are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are undertaking with us. As you know that we are very sincere with the porter issues and their situation while on trek thus we make sure that our porter are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with International Porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters. The maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG maximum so be sure that your trekking bag so not load more than 12 KG.

The following are what we advise you obtain in the way of equipment and gear before trekking in Nepal, and are meant to keep you mobile and comfortable in a range of expected weather conditions. Trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu at cheaper prices or in Pokhara. There is plenty of choice and our staff can assist you with the necessary arrangements. Except for your day pack, all luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 33lbs/15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking portion of the trip can be checked in the hotel’s storage room for no extra cost.
