Awesome Nepal Treks presents Manaslu Circuit Trek which leads you to enjoy fabulous views of dramatic landscapes with giant snow-clad peaks all along the walks towards high Manaslu valley and Larkya-La pass our highest point of the adventure. Manaslu Circuit Trek area located around Gorkha district after crossing the high Larkya-la at 5,106 with tremendous views reaching at Manang and Lamjung districts as our walk follows raging Budhi-Gandaki River right up to its source near Samagaon village and beyond.
Mt. Manaslu listed as world 8th highest peaks at 8,163 m high, first climbed by Japanese Expeditions in 1956. Mt. Manaslu with local Tibetan origin name as Kutang the word Manaslu derived from Sanskrit which means Manas as “Mind of the God” like Manasarover Lake of Mt. Kailash in Tibet.
Manaslu Circuit Trek starts with an exciting overland drive towards mid hills of Dhading and Gorkha district areas to reach our put in point of the adventurous trek, and then following the Budhi-Gandaki River upstream past nice farm villages Jagat-Philim-Dyang and heading higher towards cooler temperature of alpine country and into beautiful pines, rhododendron and fir forest with marvelous views of Manaslu peaks and Ganesh Himal also known as Yangra stands at 7,422 m in the eastern direction. Walk slowly reaches at Samagaon with the rest day to explore this highland village of tremendous Buddhist culture of strong Tibetan influence as the border to Tibet is close by where old Trans Himalayan Caravan Trade Route still exists today.
From Samagaon heading towards high Larkya-la pass of arctic zone cold climate where tree lines drop to ice and glacier after the top descends towards the lovely forested area around Manang district at Dharapani, where famous and popular Annapurna circuit trail joins. After Dharapani a gentle scenic walk leads to warmer low areas of Lamjung at Syange village by the Marsyangdi River, where our marvelous adventure completes and then taking an interesting drive back to Kathmandu with mesmerizing and enjoyable experience Manaslu Circuit Trek.

Guideline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 02: Drive to Soti-Khola 730 m via Arughat- 07 hrs

Day 03: Trek to Machha-Khola 930m - 06 hrs

Day 04: Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 07 hrs

Day 05: Trek to Dyang 1,800 m - 07 hrs

Day 06: Trek to Ghap 2,160 m - 05 hrs

Day 07: Trek to Lo-Gaon 3,180 m - 06 hrs

Day 08: Trek to Sama-Gaon 3,530 m - 04 hrs

Day 09: Rest day at Sama-Gaon for acclimatization.

Day 10: Trek to Samdo 3,860 m - 04 hrs

Day 11: Trek to Dharamsala / Larkya phedi 4,470 m - 05 hrs

Day 12: Cross Larkya-la 5,106 m and to Bimthang 3,720 m - 09 hrs.

Day 13: Trek to Gho 2,560 m - 05 hrs

Day 14: Trek to Tal-Besi 1,740 m via Dharapani 1,860 m - 07 hrs.

Day 15: Trek to Syange 1,140 m - 05 hrs.

Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.

Day 17: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.

Day 18: Final departure

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport, received by our staff and then transfer to your respective hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed briefs with information regarding Around Manaslu Circuit Trek with evening group welcome dinner.

Day 02:  Drive to Soti-Khola 730m - 08 hrs journeys.

 Manaslu Circuit Trek begins with an interesting and exciting long overland drive on Nepal’s busy highway to reach at Dhading Bhesi a large town headquarters of Dhading district, after Dhading heading to Arughat town by the River Budhigandaki, drive continues on rough road following Burigandaki upstream from Arughat bazaar to reach at Soti-Khola for overnight stop in the comfort of local lodge.

Arughat town and Soti Khola an active village of lower Gorkha district with many shops and stores, where villagers of surrounding Gorkha and Dhading areas visits for shopping local commodities.

Day 03: Trek to Machha-Khola 930m - 06 hrs.

After crossing suspension bridge, trek through the beautiful forest area, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki. We then reach Khursane upon which the rocky trail weaves its way up and down, past several waterfalls , rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. It eventually makes its way down and past a few farming terraces, then up and around to the Gurung village of Labubesi. We further climb behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens up and the Budhi Gandaki meanders among wide gravel bars. Dropping to the sandy river delta, we walk along rounded stones before climbing over a side ridge. We head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Machha Khola village.

Day 04:  Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 06 hrs.

After pleasant overnight at Macha-Khola, morning walk follows Buri-Gandaki River upstream, to reach Khorla Beshi a small farm village from here on winding path to reach at Tatopani village with “Hot Spring,” an opportunity for hot bathe as time allows. After a nice rest walk carries on passing Dovan and Yaruphant villages to reach at Jagat for overnight stops, Jagat a moderate size farm villages with shops and stores.

Day 05:  Trek to Dyang 1,800m - 06 hrs.

From Jagat, morning walk leads to higher areas passing scattered farm villages with short climb and downhill to cross over a bridge to reach at Nagjet and Philim, a large village with spread-out farm houses. After Philim walk through farm terraces of golden fields of wheat’s and barley, then a climb on rocky ridge top into bamboo forest area to our overnight stop at Dyang village.

Day 06:  Trek to Ghap 2,160m - 04 hrs
Morning walk from Dyang leads to cooler area where you can feel slow rise in altitude, on entering Himalayan alpine region, walk downhill to a river side to reach at Bihi Bazaar a small village near a river side. From here onwards encountering more villages of strong Tibetan culture, walk leads on gentle trail with few short ups and downs till Ghap village is reached for overnight stop.

Day 07: Trek to Lo-Gaon 3,180 m - 06 hrs.

From Ghap village with nice good walk following Burhi Gandaki River, then crossing this river through small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat and millets to reach at Numrung village with first close views of Mt. Manaslu North Face and adjoining peaks. Walk continues passing few villages of Banjham, Lhi and Sho, then as altitude gains with an hour up to Lo-Gaon for overnight stop in a nice cozy lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Sama-Gaon 3,530 m - 05 hrs

After Lo-Gaon tree lines fades only for few short juniper bushes and some willow trees, walk leads on nice path with views of peaks and finally the day ends at Sama-Gaon for overnight stop, this is a large mountain village located on route Manaslu base camp, Larke-la pass and to Tibet border.
Day 09: Rest day at Sama-Gaon for acclimatization.
A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading over Larke-la pass, at Samagaon explore around this interesting village of Tibetan culture.
Day 10: Trek to Samdo 3,860 m - 05 hrs
Today walk leads to last village of Manaslu area at Samdo which lies close on route Tibet border, the villagers of this area have long history of trading with Tibet, the trade still continues as you can find many Chinese goods around the village shops and stores.

Day 11: Trek to Dharamsala / Larke phedi 4,470 m - 04 hrs

A short day walk to Larke phedi or Dharmasala, after a nice overnight at Samdo village, morning walk leads towards more dry and barren country. As the altitude gains slowly with few short ups and downs then completing the morning walk at Larke phedi, means base of the hill or pass with afternoon free to relax or short walks.

Day 12:  Cross Larke-la 5,135m and to Bimthang 3,720 m - 10 hrs.

A Big Day and highlight of the adventure, starting early to reach the top of Larke-la pass at 5,135 m, a long climb with views of surrounding mountains Mt. Manaslu, Larke peak, Bouddha Himal, Himal-Chuli and Peak 29. After a strenuous climb reaching the pass, our highest point of the trip marked with Buddhist prayer flags, offering super views of surrounding great giant peaks, after a short rest enjoying the views a long descend leads to Bimthang for overnight stop a beautiful place surrounded with forest of tall rhododendron and pines trees.

Day 13:  Trek to Gho 2,560 m - 05 hrs

After a hard and tough walk of previous day, today an easy trek on downhill path most of the way to Gho, located in the midst of a lovely forested area, as our walk lead through woodlands of rhododendron, pines and oaks tree lines passing several farm shades to reach at Gho for overnight stop.

Day 14: Trek to Tal-Besi 1,740 m via Dharapani 1,860 m - 07  hrs.

From Gho walk continues within serene and lovely forest, as our route follows a path to Telje village located by the raging Marsyangdi River, after Tilje an hour climb to reach at Dharapani. A large village with many fine lodges located in Manang district and on popular Annapurna Circuit trekking trail.

With a break here for refreshment our journey continues on easy gradual trail to reach back at Marsyangdi River and crossing over a bridge to reach at Tal-Besi village located on a wide valley with views of cascading waterfalls and with many fine lodges to stay for overnight stop.

Day 15: Trek to Syange 1,140 m - 05 hrs.
Our last day walk leads on nice and pleasant trail into lovely cool alpine woodland and then reaching at Marsyangdi River again to cross a bridge and then a slow short climb to Chamje village, a moderate size farm village.

From Chamje with possible lunch stop or further at Jagat another nice village with number of good lodge, after a refreshing break at Jagat heading to a long descend reaching at Syange village for last overnight stop of this wonderful adventure Around Manaslu Himal Trekking.

Day 16:  Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
From Syange village within warmer region of sub-tropical climate full of paddy fields and terraces with views of beautiful waterfalls, our trekking ends with an exciting drive back to Kathmandu, with fond memories and grand time on Around Manaslu Himal trekking, on reaching Kathmandu afternoon free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

Day 17: In Kathmandu free day for individual activities.

Day 18: International departure homeward bound.

The following are what we advise you obtain in the way of equipment and gear before trekking in Nepal, and are meant to keep you mobile and comfortable in a range of expected weather conditions. Trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu at cheaper prices, remember Nepal is the home of Mount Everest, there is plenty of choice and our staff can assist you with the necessary arrangements. Except for your day pack, all luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 33lbs/15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking portion of the trip can be checked in the hotel’s storage room for no extra cost.
