Comparatively, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an easy trekking trail. Even if the journey lasts for two weeks, trekkers feel easy to walk on this trail. Details Itinerary

Our Airport Representative will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Kathmandu. All the trip details will be discussed and formalities are completed. Overnight at Hotel

 

Early in the morning we will depart to Pokhara after breakfast. The trip lasts for about 7 hours on the Prithivi Highway. Witness the highway lifestyle of people and relish the breathtaking view of Trishuli, Seti, and Marshyangdi River. In the evening you are free to roam around the lakeside area. The major attraction of Pokhara is the lakeshore area and the various eateries, pubs, bars, and shops of the area. Overnight at Hotel

After breakfast, we will depart to Nayapul. All our documents will be checked in Nayapul and we will start walking toward Ulleri. The lunch will be at Tikhedhunga. The trail from Nayapul to Tikhadhunga is on Nepalese flat terrain along the Madi River. After lunch, we will have to trek uphill for about an hour to reach the Ulleri Village. The sight of Mt. Annapurna South breathtakingly make our trip splendid throughout the day.

The trail today is uphill only. We will have to walk through the green lush forests and few streams. The sound of stream and the birds in the forests excites us. We will take our lunch in Nangethanti and continue uphill to Ghorepani. The village is the last village on the trail of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The scenery of mountains like Neelgiri, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, and surrounding hills is spectacular. The quite village is definitely the best place to spend overnight during the trek. We will have to sleep early today to wake up before sunrise tomorrow. Overnight at teahouse

Early in the morning we will hike uphill for about 1.5 hours to reach the Poon Hill. The hill top is famous for breathtaking scenery of sun rising from the casement of hills above clouds. The mountains line up in front of you in splendid way. Dhaulagiri, Dhampus, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, etc. are few mountains seen from the top of the Poon Hill. We will head back to teahouse and continue our trek to Tadapani after breakfast. The lunch will be either at Banthanti or in Tadapani. Overnight at teahouse

We will trek downhill to small village of Chhomrong. It is moderately easy to walk today. The trip is through green lush forests and occasional terraced farmlands. Overnight at teahouse

After breakfast, we will start our trek downhill to Chhomrong Khola. After crossing the suspension bridge, we will have to walk uphill all the way up to Sinuwa. From this small village, we will walk on the gentle flat but don't expect plain flat as the trail is gradually ascending until the abandoned place the Khuldighar.

From Khuldighar, we will trek downhill for half an hour to Bamboo and stop for lunch. After lunch, we will have to walk the gentle uphill through green lush forests listening to the soothing sound of Madi River. An hour or 1.5 hours of walking, we will reach Dovan. Today's mountain scenery is Machhapuchhre. Overnight at teahouse

Today is the short trekking day. The itinerary is altitude friendly. Therefore, the overnight camps are in shorter distance. It allows all age group people to complete the trek successfully. For about two hours, we will have to walk through green lush forests and reach Himalaya. Everyday's trekking starts after breakfast and light exercises. In the middle of today's trekking section, we will come across the Hinku Cave. Before the construction of the teahouses or lodges in the area, trekkers use to spend overnight on this cave. After breakfast, we will start the most iconic day of our trekking. Today is the day we reach Annapurna Base Camp. For about three hours we walk through narrow valley to reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp. We will have lunch on this place and continue our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The ABC is located in the beautiful place surrounded by mountains on all sides. It is truly a Himalayan sanctuary. Relish the time being at the base camp of the world's tenth tallest mountain Mt. We will attend the sunrise viewing activity. We have a long walking day today. After breakfast, we will trek downhill to Bamboo via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya and Dovan. Walking on the return trek is easier in comparison to ascending. The altitude decreases and the view of surrounding places become much merrier. Overnight at teahouse

Today is exciting day as in the late afternoon we will reach the Jhinu Danda. After checking in at the teahouse, we will have to trek downhill to enjoy the natural hot springs. Dip into the hot water and relieve all the tired muscles. It is indeed the fascinating activity that we must not avoid on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek trail. In the evening we will enjoy with the crew members in the teahouse as it is the last day of the trekking in the trail. Overnight at teahouse

After walking for a while, we will cross the suspension bridge and hop into the jeep for the road trip to Pokhara. In the evening you are free to roam around. Overnight at Hotel

We will take the road trip back to Kathmandu retracing the same Prithivi Highway. The agency will host the farewell dinner in Nepalese traditional restaurant. Overnight at Hotel

The distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara is 200 km. There are numerous side roads and it is along the Prithivi Highway. The traffic is high. Therefore, traffic jam may result in hours of road trips. However, the normal time to reach Pokhara by bus or tourist bus is about 6 – 7 hours.

Yes, you can fly to Pokhara instead of driving. And it takes about 35 - 45 minutes. Please contact the travel planners if you have already booked the road trip. The price of the flight and road trip is subject to availability and the current rates category.

Yes, it is safe to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Moreover, there is null number of air accidents on this route.

Accommodation in Annapurna Base Camp Trek is in teahouse or lodge. In some places trekkers can get the attached bathroom but most of the time the room is in the general category and have common bathroom without private attached.

You can get diverse food/meals during the trek to Annapurna Base Camp. If you prefer to have the western menu, then also you can have it. However, try some local delicacies which might help you to understand the local lifestyle too. If you don’t want to try the locals, then the Annapurna base camp trek route offers general western menus.

You can get boiled or filtered water in the teahouse which you can fill up the bottle according to the price. The drinking water for the locals is okay if they drink from natural spring water but you can refill it and use the purifying pills.

In most of the teahouses, you will get western commode-style toilets. Don’t expect the toilets of all the amenities. But remember you don’t have to defecate in public. The condition of the bathroom is of Spartan way.

Hot shower is subjected to be paid extra. However, in some teahouses, you can get a free shower. But remember to consult with your guide before doing the shower

Spring and Autumn is the best time to Annapurna Base Camp Trek. However, trekkers can do the trekking in either winter or in summer season in Nepal. Please remember that summer season coincides with the monsoon time in Nepal. During this time of the year the cloud blocks the vision of the mountains and it might be frustrating for some. But remember that during off season the trail is tranquil and there won’t be many trekkers.

We can arrange the trekking for a maximum of 50 people as there would be a shortage of teahouses for a group of more than 50 people. However, for the tour, there won’t be any problem.

Yes, it is possible for the beginners too but remember every trekkers must have the sound physical condition as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek reaches up To 4130 m from sea level which involves the trail with uphill and downhill.

Yes, it is attainable by children but before the trek please mention the age of the trekkers to our travel planners so that we can amend the itinerary. For children below 18 years old, it is recommended to have a guardian. However, we can arrange the trek or tour for kids too on the basis and guidance of their guardians.

It is a moderate trekking trail but every age group of trekkers can do the trekking. However, we can customize the trekking itinerary as per the group's characteristics.

We can avoid altitude sickness during the trek by following the instructions of the guide. You have to walk uphill or at higher altitude slowly and uniformly. Trip Name: Short Poon Hill Trek

Booked this trek from the comfort at home in the UK. Communication with Dil was brilliant, his response to all my emails were quick and courteous. He tailored the trek around us, as a small group of 4 adults ranging in age from 29 to 69 (who was still recovering from an ACL op last May). His pace was brilliant for our group.

Dil arranged to meet us in our hotel in Kathmandu and talked us through the trek, bringing maps, holdalls and T-Shirts.

The trek was for 3 nights, 4 days staying in good, clean lodges. All was included except our drinks.

We experienced trekking in glorious sunshine up to Poon Hill. There was still snow on the ground and Dil provided the group with crampons, which made walking easier and safer.

Our trek started and ended in Pokhara. Dil and his team collected us from our hotel in Pokhara promptly at the time agreed.

Dil and the porters were brilliant, the porters were more than porters and made our trek even more enjoyable. We felt totally safe and Dil was an excellent guide. The scenery was spectacular.
