Awesome Nepal Treks offers a moderate, enjoyable and fascinating country walks around north of Kathmandu at Central Himalaya range of mountains to Langtang Valley Trekking, a scenic trek visiting Tamang cultural villages of Tibetan Buddhist origin and into pristine forested areas of tall rhododendron-magnolia-firs-birch and pines trees with bamboos where elusive Red Panda habitats rarely seen during the walks. Journey to Langtang Valley trekking offers a delightful short adventure little more of a week duration, suitable for all types of travelers from families-school / college groups and corporate people or for veteran trekkers and adventurer as good exercise before joining major high altitude treks and other adventure around Himalaya.

Langtang Valley and the whole area protected by Langtang National Park the first park to be established in the mountainous area in mid-1970’s which covers 1,710 sq.kms the nearest park from Kathmandu. The area extends from 32 km north of Kathmandu to the Nepal - China (Tibet) border. Our wonderful Langtang Valley Trekking leads from Kathmandu on the foothills of Central Himalaya at Langtang with glorious views and to the highest and scenic spot at Kyanjin Gompa with fantastic scenery of snow-clad peaks that surround you in and around Langtang Valley.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470m - 8 hrs.
Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m - 7 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Langtang village 3, 500m - 7 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,749m - 4 hrs.
Day 06: Exploration day in Kyangjin Gompa.
Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m -7 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Shyabru Besi 1,950m - 5 hrs.
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10: Final departure.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Your first impression of arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport is an experience in itself. But don’t be worried by the apparent confusion as your airport representative will be waiting to welcome you with your name written on a placard. Depending on traffic, you will be at your hotel within 20 minutes or so.
You have time to relax and enjoy the ambiance and comfort of the hotel until your evening Group Meeting. This is when we collect your insurance details and discuss how the trip will run for the coming days. After the meeting, we go for our first group dinner. Your tour leader will take you to traditional Nepali restaurant in Thamel.

Day 02: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470m - 7 hrs.
Morning travel by private coach or local bus (depending upon the size of the group) with an exciting overland drive on main Kathmandu to Dhunche-Syabrubesi highway, leading through Himalayan foothills, on reaching at Trisuli Bazaar within warm sub-tropical our journey continues uphill on winding road towards cooler area past many farm villages and town to reach at Dhunche at the height of 1,950 m. Headquarter and main town of Rasuwa district of Langtang area where Langtang National Park begins.
From Dhunche drive leads downhill on the zig-zag road to reach at Syabrubesi village the home of Tamang tribe people in the shade of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, overnight in a nice cozy lodge at Syabrubesi.
Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m - 7 hrs.
The trek from Syabrubesi is quite pleasant with few up climbs for a while but the rest of the walk is gradual on the winding trail through the terraced farm fields and villages, as the trail descends and joins the path coming from upper Syabru at the Riverside Lodge near the place of Bamboo, the trek from here leads to cool forest in the gorge following the torrent glacial river Trisuli upstream, the walk is more or less an uphill climb in the cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest after six hours walk reaching a small clearing at Lama-Hotel.
Day 04: Trek to Langtang village 3,307m - 7 hrs.
From here few hours morning walk to Ghoda Tabela for lunch stop amidst the lovely forest of pines, hemlocks, and rhododendron from here onwards you can feel the altitude also. After a pleasant break here, trek continues on the trail to Langtang and its beautiful valley, the walk for an hour is pleasant in the cool shade of alpine woodland, after a small stream leaving the tree line behind the path leads uphill for an hour, then walk gets better on gradual trail with few ups and down to Langtang village for overnight stop.
Day 05: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,749 m - 4 hrs.
From Langtang village walk on the nice path and then on an uphill trail for few hours following “mani-prayer wall” where walking clockwise direction a positive way in respect to the Buddhist religion, walk leads further east as the valley opens up with views of snow-capped peaks. After few hours of the gentle walk with views brings you at Kyanjin Gompa a charming and scenic spot with beautiful views of Langtang Lirung of above 7,000m and its icefall at close distance Kyanjin Gompa, surrounded by a ridge formed by glacial moraine of rocks and boulders.
Day 06: Exploration day in Kyanjin Gompa.
At leisure, a well-deserved rest day here visits a small Cheese factory or walk up to Tsego-Ri or Kyanjin Ri at above 4,700 m / 15,420ft which will add more heights of this adventure offers a stunning panorama of snow-capped mountains.
Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 350 m - 7 hrs.
After a wonderful time at Kyanjin Gompa, retrace the journey back on same route to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.
Day 08: Trek to Shyabru Besi 1,450 m - 5 hrs.
Last day walk of this fabulous adventure with views of snow-clad peaks of Langtang to the north and Ganesh-Himal range towards north-west along with Manaslu and Annapurna range towards far western horizon, walk leads to a long descend entering oaks, pines and rhododendron forest, after a brief stops with walk continues on the foot of the hill then with short climb towards Dhunche town for last overnight stop around Langtang Himal area.
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu 1,350m - 7 hrs.
Morning a scenic drive back to Kathmandu with grand memories of fabulous and exciting Langtang Valley trekking, an interesting six hour brings you back in Kathmandu with the afternoon free at leisure for shopping souvenirs.
Day 10: International departure homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal, the land of Himalayan wonders after wonderful experience and fond memories of Langtang Valley Trekking around great Central Himalaya region, our staff transfer you to the airport as per your time for the international flight for your final departure towards homeward bound.

A requirement for Annapurna area high altitude Treks:
Langtang Himalaya region one of the most popular and listed as world Top Ten adventure destinations by several leading Travel Guide Books and magazines including Lonely Planet.
Langtang region offers varied trekking routes from moderate, adventurous to challenging walks that involve high passes above 5,000 meters.
For moderate treks for few days to a week where all trekkers should be physically fit and in sound health, as most of the longer treks takes from 5 hrs to 8 hrs of maximum walks.
Beginners and all interested people can join in Annapurna area trekking for few days or more, truly suitable for family-school / college groups as well to corporate executives, where on this trip requires minimum gear staying overnights in local nice lodges.
Most of the region in Himalayan where walks leads ups and downhill with some gradual portions depending upon your choice of trips and interest.
Adventurous walks involve high altitude walks from above 2,500 to 5,000 meters high, with some gradual trails with ups and downhill with the touch of high altitude that makes it is more adventurous.
Challenging and demanding treks which leads you away from main villages in a pure wilderness on the off beaten tracks for some days in complete isolation in the harmony of giant mountains and in the tranquil environment and crossing high passes of above 5,000 m. Where trekkers should be fit with sound medical background and with experience in outdoor activities and some exercise to join in Adventurous and Challenging treks within high Langtang Himalaya or around remote destinations around Nepal Himalaya.
Passport & Visa Information:
Nepal visa is the easiest visa to obtain; you may buy your Nepal visa at your nearest Nepalese Embassy/ Consulate or Mission offices abroad or buy this upon on arrival to Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. You have to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US$ & valid passport at least for 6 months valid at the starting of the trip.
Visa rules apply to all wide world travelers apart from Indian nationality, a transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over the initial period of three days. Currently, foreign national can obtain a Nepalese visa from the following border.

On each trip, led by Trek / Group Leader with assistance leader or head guide / Sirdar all our arrangement well planned for safe travel providing insurance to all our field staff and guides including porters.
There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at altitude with acclimatization days. Being in very good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the exhaustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude caused medical problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness.
Our itinerary designed with a high degree of awareness on AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas. Staying well and hydrated and rest will help a lot.
The maximum elevation on the trek at ABC 4,130m above sea level. Obviously, this altitude range is high, but this takes slowly as walk starts from 820m to various altitude range with enough days of good daily walks to get acclimatize on the route before reaching higher ground.
The other trek that involves high altitude is around or Annapurna Circuit which takes you to the highest point at 5,416 on top Thorong-la pass with downhill towards 3,800 m at Muktinath, but on this trips walks gaining heights slowly and gradually with enough time to get acclimatize with the rest day before heading higher level.
Travel Insurance & Vaccination:
All visitors must obtain personal travel insurance to join us for our Himalayan trips. You must be having a travel insurance which must cover helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation, and medical expenses. And it is suggested that you buy your insurance policy from your homeland country before traveling as it is difficult buying local travel insurance policy for foreigners in Nepal.
Vaccination is required to plan for your trip to Nepal but it is not a must to have the thing to come, but highly suggested. Your doctor will have the information on vaccination you would require to the country you will be traveling.
Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for traveling to Nepal.
Meals and Accommodations:
While in Kathmandu, your accommodation is at a 2-star deluxe hotel that comforts your stays in the city and while in the trek, your accommodation is at Mt. Lodge and Guest House which is clean and comfortable. Our entire accommodation is at twin share unless stated but single supplement accommodation is also available on personal request at the additional cost of US$- 200.
In the city, only breakfast is included on the offered trip itinerary but while in trek full board of meals is included (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, and Tea- Coffee).
We provide meals from local tea- house/ Lodge on route treks, breakfast and dinner are to be provided from the same tea- house/ guest house we would overnight but lunch would be on the walk to our designated destination with an overnight stop.
Foods provided depend on the availability of lodges and season-wise in general providing you with Nepalese foods (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various soups, Momo’s (steamed dumplings), potatoes, kinds of pasta and even a version of pizza! So, overall you have a different choice of food on the trek.
Best trekking Seasons:
Nepal has two best seasons for Annapurna Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit Trekking, we will inform and suggest you choose the right time of the year as far as possible to enjoy this trip with best weather condition.
Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, the warmest weather of the year.
Autumn: (Mid-September, October, and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. Best Time to Trek
Winter Months: - (December, January, and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.
Summer: Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid-June, July and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek unless you are botanical student or lovers of green and flowers which will be the right time but very wet especially around southern Annapurna areas than northern side.
Caring support staff (porter):
Our porter is fully equipped and insured for each trip they are undertaking with us. As you know that we are very sincere with the porter issues and their situation while on trek thus we make sure that our porter is fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with the International Porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters. The maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG maximum so be sure that your trekking bag so not load more than 12 KG.

The following are what we advise you obtain in the way of equipment and gear before trekking in Nepal, and are meant to keep you mobile and comfortable in a range of expected weather conditions. Trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu at cheaper prices, there is plenty of choice and our staff can assist you with the necessary arrangements. Except for your day pack, all luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 33lbs/15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking portion of the trip can be checked in the hotel’s storage room for no extra cost.
