Exploring lovely villages with Namche Bazaar where you can witness colourful and active Saturday market, and then heading higher towards the large glacial valley at Khunde and Khumjung with overnights at Everest View hotels offering you with an incredible panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam and other series of peaks. This enjoyable walk leads to scenic Thyangboche Monastery surrounded with green woodland and mountains, after an exciting and mesmerizing time return journey back to Lukla for sweeping short flight back to Kathmandu after an awesome experience on Everest Luxury Lodge Trekking.

Guideline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,830 m and transfer to lodge with the free afternoon.

Day 03: Trek to Monjo 2,880 m via Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 07 hrs.

Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.

Day 06: Trek to Everest View Hotel 3,880 m visit Khumjung village 3,730 m – 05 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to Thanga 3,380 m near Shanasa – 04 hrs.

Day 08: Trek to Pangboche 3,900 m via Thyangboche 3,867 m – 06 hrs.

Day 09: Trek to Thanga – 05 hrs.

Day 10: Trek to Monjo 2,860m – 05 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs.

Day 12:  Lukla –Kathmandu(1,350m/4,264ft) 35 min flight.

Day 13: Final departure.

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Your first impression of arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport is an experience in itself. But don’t be worried by the apparent confusion as your airport representative will be waiting to welcome you with your name written on a placard. Depending on traffic, you will be at your hotel within 20 minutes or so.

You have time to relax and enjoy the ambiance and comfort of the hotel until your evening Group Meeting. This is when we collect your insurance details and discuss how the trip will run for the coming days. After the meeting, we go for our first group dinner. Your tour leader will take you to a traditional Nepali restaurant in Thamel.

Day 02:  Fly to Lukla 2,830 m and transfer to lodge with an afternoon free
Mornings, flight to Lukla with views of mountain range including Mt. Everest, after 30 mins of great flight reaching at Lukla with its unique airstrip a gateway Sherpa town to Everest base camp and other adventure destination. At Lukla rest of the afternoon free at ease to enjoy this Sherpa town and to get acclimatize and witness the exciting life of the Sherpa people in the comfort of the nice and cozy lodge.  

Day 03: Trek to Monjo 2,880 m via Phakding 2,640 m - 05 hrs.
After a leisure and pleasant stop at Lukla, an easy and moderate walk to Phakding and Monjo villages for an overnight stop, where the trail leads past Sherpa farm villages with the nice and scenic walk of short ups and down with wonderful views along

the walk entering into the patch of green alpine woodland following Dudh Kosi a glacial River upstream and crossing several suspension bridges to reach Monjo village for an overnight stop after a pleasant walk of 4-5 hours.

Day 04:  Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 05 hrs.

Morning another short day walk to Namche Bazaar, from Monjo reaching Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, and then on river bed for few hours and after the last bridge climbing up to Namche Bazaar, at Namche enjoy the facilities of a good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, and banks.

Day 05:  Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
A perfect place for the rest day for proper acclimatization before heading higher area, morning a short hike to Everest View Hotel or walk up on top a hill of Namche for views of Everest, Amadablam and adjoining peaks, visit the museum with wide information of the Khumbu areas.

Day 06:  Trek to Everest View Hotel 3,880 m visit Khumjung village 3,730 m - 04 hrs.
Today a short and scenic walk after a hearty breakfast, at first leading to a climb uphill with grand aerial views of Namche Bazaar as the walk progress uphill reaching at Syangboche small airstrip, where smaller aircraft (plateaus porter) sometimes lands, from here a slow walk uphill brings you at the famous Everest View Hotel for overnight stop at the height of 3,880 m.

Afternoon explores large Khumjung village located on glacial valley beneath the sacred Mt. Khumbila (the patron god of Khumbu Sherpa) here visit its 500 years old monastery, where you can witness a Yeti scalp kept in a glass box.

Day 07:  Trek to Tsenga 3,380 m near Sanasa - 03 hrs.
Morning catch the stunning views of Mt. Everest-Amadablam and other range of high peaks while having breakfast, and then a short downhill walk leads you to a pristine area away from main trekking trail for an overnight stop at Tsenga with posh standard resorts, where you can enjoy the views of mountains at great comfort and luxury.

Day 08:  Trek to Pangboche 3,900 m via Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.

From Tsenga on the gradual scenic path with downhill to Imjatse river at Phunge-Tenga, and then uphill through rhododendron, pines, firs tree forest with views of snowcapped peaks.

On reaching Thyangboche visit famous Buddhist monastery with a magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwangde, and majestic Amadablam.
Our walk continues downhill into beautiful alpine woodland towards a small metal bridge over Imjatse River, from here onward tree lines declines for few smaller juniper and birch trees as the walk leads uphill for an hour to Pangboche and in the comfort of the luxury lodge.

Afternoon time for the walk to Pangboche monastery with ever-present Mt. Everest with magnificent views of Amadablam and other series of peaks with local Sherpa culture.

Day 09:  Trek to Tsenga - 04 hrs.
After a lovely stop at Pangboche the highest spot of the adventure, morning taking the same route back to Tsenga via Thyangboche with an hour climb and then heading downhill with short up to our overnight stop at Tsenga resort.

Day 10: Trek to Monjo 2,860m - 05 hrs.
Morning catching views of peaks and then start with the gradual walk to Sanasa, from here on a pleasant and scenic path with short ups and downs to Namche Bazaar, a break here and then walk back to Dudh Kosi river valley and to Monjo for an overnight stop.
Day 11:  Trek to Lukla - 04 hrs.

Morning walks on the same good trail following Dudh Kosi River till Phakding from here retrace the journey back to Lukla with the last climb, on reaching Lukla celebrate last night dinner with fellow trekkers and staff.
Day 12:  Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
From Lukla taking an early morning flight back to Kathmandu with views of mountains, at Kathmandu domestic airport our staff transfers you back to respective hotels with rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 13:   International departure homeward bound.
Your last day in amazing Nepal in the land of Himalayan wonders, after wonderful experience and fond memories of Everest Base Camp trekking, our staff transfer you to the airport as per your time for an international flight for your final departure towards homeward bound.

After booking the trip with Awesome Nepal Treks there are few points that one should bear with us.
Where Himalayan weather can be unpredictable sometimes with the sudden change in freak weather conditions, and as well health and fitness factor of the member while on the trek or just before trip departure times. Might compel us to change or reroute the itinerary to other similar destinations for the benefit and satisfaction of the clients.
Our main concern is clients and staff safety and to provide full satisfaction while you are with us on any treks and tours, and we assure you that Awesome Nepal Treks will provide the best team of staff and guides with well-planned logistics, professional services to make your trip enjoyable and mesmerizing experience that will last for lifetime while holidaying with us.
Also note that our trip leader and head guide deserves final decision if the trip has to be amended, change of route or cancellation due to the extreme conditions beyond our control and as well for safety precaution. However, we will try our best to ensure that the trip runs accordingly as per our standard itinerary with some flexibility where necessary.
Experience & Fitness Required:
Trek to Everest Base Camp is not difficult or technical, where no previous trekking and outdoor experience required if you are a sports person or have done outdoor activities and physical fitness training it will be a great advantage and plus point.
On this trek to Everest Base Camp, one should be aware that you are walking into the world’s highest areas of Everest where maximum elevation rises above 5,364 meters at base camp.
With optional climb to high and scenic Kalapathar which is at 5,545 m offers you with a spectacular panorama of peaks with Everest at close distance, most of the walks within Everest and other parts of Himalaya involves lots of ups and downs. Somedays can be tiring and exhausting, but rewards you with scenic views with a glimpse of local colorful culture with refreshing stops in between and walking into nice lovely villages.
Around Everest mid hills where you will be walking through farmlands, well-tended terraces, where route follows on the bank of a river crossing suspension bridges with duration of minimum 4 hours, and the maximum of 6 hours walks on this wonderful Everest Base Camp Treks.
All members should be physically fit with sound health to join in this marvelous walking journey on Everest base camp treks, and we strongly suggest all clients consult with your medical doctor before traveling and joining for the trip with us.
Where doctors can provide you with advice on disease and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) and the symptoms if it happens while on treks, for health and fitness, the participant must have the positive attitude and strong determination to enjoy and making the trip a great success.
Passport & Visa Information:
Nepal Visa is easy to obtain; you may obtain from the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or Mission offices in your home country if it’s not possible abroad one
can obtain on arrival at Kathmandu international airport as per your convenient. Where you need to have 2 passport size photographs, Visa fees in US cash & valid passport at least for 6 months validity from the starting of the trip.
SAARC countries and China do not need the visa when visiting Nepal, as per the rule and regulation and Indian nationals do not require the visa.
Transit visa is provided for foreign nationality for 3 days. Visa must be obtained for staying over an initial period of three days. Currently, foreign national can obtain a Nepalese visa from the following border.

In Everest Base Camp Trek, minimum group size would be two persons and maximum group size of ten persons for more on above Ten on request.
We also organize a private trip for the single person on single supplement cost or join in join our estimated group departure dates available online or contact us with your traveling and arrival dates.
Our Guides, Trip & Safety:
Treks in Nepal and at Everest base camp takes you to the remote Himalayan region, it is very essential that you are accompanied with experienced and qualified guides or group leader for the safe and successful trip.
Awesome Nepal provides native trekking guide and staff who are trained and qualified for these type of trips. Our guides are fully trained and licensed from Nepal Government Tourism Department, certified by TAAN & Nepal Mountaineering Association.
All our Trekking and Climbing Guides are professional with decades of experience in this fields of adventure. They are trained specially for specified and various trips, to cater the flexible requirement of our clients from different nationalities, this will assure you that your trip will be enjoyable and in safe hands of professional experts.
On every trip, will be one Trek leader and an assistance leader on each additional 2 peoples in the group on treks, this arrangement would ensure that even if any of our guide/ assistance guides gets sick or clients may get sick and need to be evacuated or staying behind from the walks, it wills still works smoothly and there would non-impact with our original trek plan.
Every two trekkers will have one Sherpa helper for carrying your trekking bags.
Meals and Accommodations:
While in Kathmandu, your accommodation is at the 2-star deluxe hotel or similar (if one has to upgrade please inform us) with all modern amenities to ensure your comfortable stay and while on the trek, your accommodation is at best local Lodge and Guest Houses where available. The Mountain local Lodges are clean and have comfortable beds. Our entire accommodation is on twin sharing basis unless required for single supplement accommodation at extra trip cost.
While in Kathmandu and at Pokhara or some any city in Nepal, based on bed and breakfast, while on the trek it will be on full board includes all 3 times meals (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, with Tea- Coffee). We provide meals from the local Lodge on route trekking. Breakfast and dinner will be provided from the same tea- house/ guest house on overnights stops, where lunch will be on-route day walks.
Foods provided in the local lodges depends entirely on availability and season, you can have Nepalese meals (Dal Bhat), Tibetan fried bread, various types of soups, Momo’s (steamed dumplings), potatoes, portions of pasta and even pizza! So, overall you have a different choice of foods on the trek.
Trekking Seasons:
Two best seasons for the trek to Everest Base Camp. As this trip is an adventurous walk, we suggest you join in at the right time of the year as far as possible.
Spring: - (March, April, and May) – Warm days with Rhododendron in flowering times includes clear views of mountains, pleasant Temperature, warmest weather of the year.
Autumn:- (Mid-September, October and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility. Best Time to Trek
Winter Months: - (December, January, and February) also good, but it’s obviously colder. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to your plan for the trek in the cold months.
Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid-June, July to August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek.
There is no way to prepare for altitude other than to spend time at the right altitude. Being in good physical condition will help ameliorate some of the exhaustion that people often feel, but it will not prevent altitude problems such as Acute Mountain Sickness. This itinerary is designed with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) in mind and to ensure a comfortable and safe adventure trek in the Himalayas with much acclimatization days to cope with pre-caution for altitude sickness. Staying well hydrated and getting plenty of rest may help.
The maximum elevation of the trek will at Everest Base Camp at 5,364m above sea level. We will be walking from the mid-range at Lukla with 2,820 m and altitude range gradually with enough days for rest in each high altitude with overnight stops.
Travel Insurance & Vaccination:
On this trip, you must obtain personal travel insurance to join with us in all our Himalayan trips. You must obtain travel insurance which covers helicopter rescue and immediate evacuation, trip cancellation and medical expenses.
We suggested that you buy your insurance policy from your home country before joining with us, where it is difficult buying local travel insurance policy for foreigners in Nepal.
Vaccination is required to plan for your trip to Nepal but it is not a must to have the thing to come, but highly suggested. Your doctor will have the information on vaccination you would require to the country you will be traveling.
Hepatitis A, Japanese Encephalitis, Polio, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid and Malaria etc. are the recommended vaccination for traveling to Nepal.
Caring Porter:
Our porter is fully equipped and insured on each trip with us. As you know that we are very sincere and polite, while on trek thus we make sure that our porter is fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with the International Porter Progress Association for the welfare and benefit for trekking porters.
The maximum load carried by our porter minimum 20 to 25 KG maximum so be sure that your trekking bag is not more than the above figure.

The following are what we advise you obtain in the way of equipment and gear before trekking in Nepal, and are meant to keep you mobile and comfortable in a range of expected weather conditions. Trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu at cheaper prices, remember Nepal is the home of Mount Everest, there is plenty of choice and our staff can assist you with the necessary arrangements. Except for your day pack, all luggage will be carried by porters. There is an allowance of 33lbs/15kg per person. Additional personal items not needed for the trekking portion of the trip can be checked in the hotel’s storage room for no extra cost.
